Hair History

I have come to realize that through out my 18 years there have been many many changes to my hair. So I decided I make a post about it, cause its crazy how much it has changed.. it practically has a life story of its own.

At 3 years old (I think) with my Dad <3
When I was really young I had a full head of beautiful curls. My mom says I would wake up with a cute afro every morning because of how curly my hair used to be. Even though it looks like my hair was done by some curling iron, it was not, as a kid I did not have the patience or knowledge to stay still for someone to apply heat to my hair. Imagine? God, that would have been disastrous.

By this point for some reason my curls were wearing off and my hair was turning very straight. :( I had front bangs for quite a while that my mom would "professionally" cut for me up until I was about 8 haha. I also did it once myself cause they poked my eyes and she got really mad at me.

At 13 years old.
In middle school I decided to cut my hair even shorter than what I had it before. It was in the time in which having layered hair was "cool". It still is, but I think I got a bit too excited over it because as you can tell my shortest layer is at my cheek, making me look somewhat of an egghead. The good thing was that I was able to manage it fairly easily. :)

I got tired of having such short hair and decided to let it grow out a bit. This was the healthiest state of my hair to be honest until I discovered dye haha.

Here I bleached my hair, you can see it a bit on the left. By this time my hair was pretty long and I wanted to add a little something to it by bleaching a bit of it on each side, which I don't remember if it looked that well but as far as the picture looks it didn't look too bad. :p

I guess I really liked the bleach that I decided to do an ombre type of look, but I did not want it as bold. I only changed the bottom half of my hair in little highlights so it would not be as strong and I liked it. At this point my hair was reaaally long and my friend, Jenny, was able to do a really cute fishtail braid on me. :) For the record, I was not taking a nap in Physics.. I was practicing inertia. Just saying.

Soon, I got tired of the bleach and dyed it all brown. And as everyone who knows about dye after time it begins to fade. In the picture my hair dye was fading into an orange-ish color. I personally started liking it and kept it for the summer.

Towards the end of 2012 I wanted to start the New Year with a completely different look. Therefore, I decided to dye my hair super dark and I got my 5 year old bangs back! Talk about a throwback. I was tired of having such light hair and for winter it just felt right to go back to a dark color.
now at 18 years old
Now in the midst of summer 2013 I decided to go light once again but this time I wanted to go full on with the ombre effect. I did not feel very confident about the bottom half of my entire hair being blonde before, but now I feel pretty good about it. Keep in mind this is not easy to accomplish so I was fairly happy about how it turned out.

So that is it for now. I know I might change my hair once again in the future cause it has become somewhat of an addiction of mine. YES I am aware that dying and bleaching is not healthy at all for your hair and my hair is quite damaged but.. I am a girl so.. thats my excuse. People have asked me quite a lot about my hair, so I might to a DIY one day if I happen to re-ombre it once it grows out, or if I do another dye. :)

p.s All of my pictures except my 5th one do not have a filter so don't judge. haha
