My teeth journey

(WARNING: it may be gross on first photo)

On April 18, 2011 I had oral surgery for the removal of 4 of my teeth that were extra.

You little rebel
So after that I was able to get my braces! The process is really long for that longer than I imagined. They have to put all sorts of plastic mouth pieces into your mouth for a long time while your teeth dry or else they wont stick. They also use a sour tasting liquid (a little bit) on each of your teeth which I forgot was for but it was necessary. Then after that the orthodontist positions the brackets the way it is most convenient for your bite. Once it is all done your lips are as dry as the desert and your lips feel huge because of the braces.. I hated it, but I asked for them so I had to stop complaining.

This is what I looked like.

After some time I learned to get used to them and having to check my teeth every time I ate something because otherwise it was really embarrassing having like cilantro up in there. Having to go nearly every month was not as bad as I thought. I was very lucky to have such cool people who attended me when I went to have them tightened. I lasted two years with them starting from June 23, 2011 - July 1st, 2013. It went by super quick.
My bffs for 2 years
It was a bittersweet feeling when I got them off because I had them for soo long and I was used to them already but I also wanted to see my teeth nice and straight after a 2 year wait. Fortunately, I did not suffer from much pain while I had them. I hear of people having cuts in their mouth and constant soreness. I hardly ever had any cuts and my soreness lasted only about 2 days after getting them tightened. I guess it is because I have a really high pain tolerance and can handle quite a lot (not to brag).

on the 4th of July 13
I really like my smile now, its not all ugly and crooked like before even though people claim that I did have straight teeth but I think they just don't remember or ever payed attention to my teeth.
Anyway, so after that I got an x-ray and lucky me, my wisdom teeth were ready to pop out soon but the problem was that they were coming across towards my back molars. My orthodontist recommended I get oral surgery asap before I started experiencing pain in my mouth.

Soon after a long wait of procrastination I finally made my appointment to the oral surgeon. It took me a while because I was scared to be honest. I heard all these kinds of stories from people that it was the worst pain they had ever been in and that their cheeks were swollen for ever and blah blah blah :(

I thought well what is the worst that can happen? Not having further pain in my future years regarding my wisdom teeth that sounds pretty awesome to me. Therefore, I sucked it up, grew some lady balls and had surgery today, Sept. 4. 2013. I had all sorts of wires on me to make sure my heart was still beating and that I was still breathing while during surgery which was pretty cool to watch. Later, I was put to sleep which seemed like such a blur because once they injected the anesthesia I knocked out. Then when I woke up I was completely numb from my face and looked like this..
Chubby Bunny
Not my most attractive state, but for your viewing pleasure...

After all I am glad that I got it over with and that I survived. :D
My mom is all concerned cause my cheeks are all chubby looking, she's so cute.
Hopefully the 4 holes heal quickly because I am currently super hungry. I was not able to eat nor drink anything since last night >.< and I also have a wedding that I have to attend soon!

Wish me luck! and thanks for reading (✿◠‿◠)
